Congratulations everyone 2020 is officially over! Last year was an emotional roller coaster! There was a lot of uncertainty and fear in everyone’s lives, but I hope it has helped you pause and evaluate where you are now in life and where you wish to be in the future, I know that’s what I did. I do not want the events in 2020 to derail the goals I wish to achieve and neither should you. I want to share my goals for 2021 to inspire you to think about what you want to work on.

When planning my goals I try to think about progress, not perfection. Perfection is a losing battle whereas progress expands your horizons everyday. After some thought about what I accomplished in 2020, and the setbacks I encountered along the way, here are my goals for 2021.
Personal
- Build strength and wellness. Last year I gave birth to our third child. I never felt more exhausted trying to manage two young children while pregnant in my late 30’s. It made me realize how much I was not taking care of myself, and when you are going to care for multiple kids, you need stamina! This year I am going to cultivate a fitness routine and hydrate (two areas that have been lacking in my life). The goal is to build strength and energy. I eat nutritious meals already and plenty of vegetables, but I have a sweet tooth that I need to reign in.
Family
- Prioritize my schedule to spend more meaningful time with my children. Now that I have 3 children, all with their own set of needs, I want to make sure that I am connecting with each of them.
Career
- Start my online business. 2021 is the year where I will embark on a new chapter in my career by starting an online business. While this is a work in progress, and I’m not sure where this will lead, I have decided to stop putting it off and take the first step forward. I’m in the research phase right now but I intend to take action and implement along the way (I will not wait until things are just right…not anymore). Hopefully I will share the progress with you along the way.
There it is, my goals for 2021. I want to keep it simple so that I can build upon these goals next year. Remember, it’s about progress, not perfection.
Have you made any goals for 2021? If so, share them below so we can keep each other accountable. Here’s to a new year full of opportunity!
